A 66-year-old male driver allegedly hit a building in Forrestfield about 9pm on Saturday, blew a 0.239 BAC and was issued a disqualification notice and charged for drink-driving.

Police drove the man home before he later returned to the crash scene in a truck, again recording a BAC over the limit at 0.225, and was charged for the same offences.

He was also charged with no authority to drive and the truck was impounded for 28 days.

He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on July 24.
