More than fifty members attended along with members from the Walcha Rotary Club to farewell outgoing president Peter McIvor and his team.
Incoming president Bruce Davidson took on a third presidential term leading a small team of fifteen members. The 2019/20 executive team consists of: vice president Peter McIvor, second vp Philip Hamel and third vp Peter Boy; secretary Lloyd Levingston, treasurer John Wark, Lion tamer Terry Olsen and tail twister Ian Bird.
During the evening Ian 'Snow' Bird was awarded a Melvin Jones Fellowship for outstanding service. This is the highest Lions International honour and Mr Bird is the ninth Walcha Lion to be inducted to the fellowship in the club's 61 year history.
