Sister trio Bec, Jordy and Nicola Hoy all scored long range tries while co-captain Bonnie Brown, whose sister Lacey Latham is also in the side, crashed over for a spectacular four-pointer in the 24-22 victory.
The Jillaroos rocketed out to an 18-nil lead in the early stages of the match through Bec, Jordy and Bonnie's tries before a barrage of penalties against the Walcha side helped the Tigers back into the game.
Despite the stop-start affair, the crowd erupted when Nicola dodged her way past defenders along the sideline and then took off down the middle of the field to score the match-winning try under the posts.
Co-captain Robyn Broadbent had her kicking boots on and nailed every conversion which gave the Jillaroos the upper hand when the full-time siren eventually rang out.
The 18-4 penalty count, which favoured the Tigers, and two Walcha players sent to the sin-bin marred the second stanza but it didn't stop the Jillaroos from celebrating and singing the team song on the field.
They now move on to play in the preliminary final on August 10 against the loser of this Saturday's major semi-final between Uralla and Tingha.
The game will be played at either Bundarra or Warialda, determined by the results of this Saturday's major semi.
