This year the message from the NSW Department of Education is 'Every Student, Every Voice'. Education Week is an annual event, held during the first week of August, to celebrate NSW public education.
On Monday at the school assembly, awards were presented for debating, representative sport and sports leadership. Presentations were also made to students who achieved silver awards in the school's merit system.
To highlight the range of talent within the student body performances were made by Tennessee-Rose Shaw who sang a solo rendition of 'The Climb', Telisha Beale danced to Justin Timberlake's 'Apologize', and the string quartet performed Parting Glass.
On Thursday the classrooms were open to visitors all morning, and then the Walcha Central School P&F hosted a morning tea to show the parents appreciation for the work the Walcha Central School teachers do.
