Walcha Rugby Club 125th Black Tie Ball: mega gallery

The who's who of local rugby was at the Walcha Multi-Purpose Centre last Saturday night attending a black-tie affair to celebrate 125 years of the Walcha Rugby Union Football Club.

Members, friends and guests of the Rams both past and present (including Federal MP Barnaby Joyce) were on hand to enjoy fine food, drink and the hilarious guest speaker Mick Colliss.

Along with three of his mates, Mick formed the first Australian Sudoku team and journeyed to the International Sudoku Championships in India - because he'd always dreamed of representing Australia at something.

After dinner, the raffle winners were announced, the spirit bar opened, and dancing began before everyone headed home - or not.

According to all who attended the evening was a great success and the organisers were commended for a job well done.
