The Rams came agonisingly close to snaring the win against the Pirates in 2017 with a 40-39 loss before being pipped again last year 24-8.
The third match-up in-a-row could prove the charm for the Rams and co-coach Barry Hoy said they are "confident and ready to go."
"We are more wanting to make amends for the last two years," he said.
"It is good to have it at home, it is more exciting because the town gets behind you."
The Rams have had the wood over the Pirates this year with two wins from both their regular season encounters but Hoy isn't reading into those results.
"We know they are a no mistake side, their big forwards, they wear you out and that is how they win their games," he said.
"We have had a couple of wins this year but we know the grand final is a different story altogether.
"They are going for four on the trot so they definitely know what it is about."
Hoy also made mention of the playing surface of Peter Fenwicke Oval for this Saturday's match.
"I commend the council for their effort to get the ground up the scratch," he said.
Games start at 9.30am with the main game at 3pm.
