This November she will run a local workshop on how to make remote working work, wherever you live, at the Walcha Rural Women's Gathering.
Hers is one of more than 40 activities on the program for the three-day event which will be held in Walcha November 1 - 3 with the theme 'creating a natural high'.
The NSW Rural Women's Gathering (RWG) is an annual weekend event organised by local committees with support from the NSW Department of Primary Industries Rural Women's Network.
Every year it is held in a different location, and a local committee develops the theme and program.
Mother of two, Ms Palmer works with Pointer Remote Roles to provide a valuable pathway for companies, corporations and government agencies to fill positions with the best candidate for the job, regardless of where they live.
- The Land
Former city dweller Dale Webber is the driving force behind the Walcha RWG. While looking for a way to connect to rural women when she moved to Walcha four years ago, Dale read an article on the Glen Innes RWG.
In 2018 she formed a committee and led a successful bid for Walcha to host the 2019 Gathering.
At the time she said: "research found that the 2014 Rural Women's Gathering in Coolamon injected over $230,000 into the local economy and that for every dollar invested in the event approximately $2.20 of social and economic value was created and rural women felt more connected, inspired and empowered".
The Walcha RWG committee is expecting about 300 women, from across New South Wales and beyond, to come to the gathering and hopes many of those are local ladies.
An eclectic workshop program features a broad range of topics with everything from styling your wardrobe from vintage clothes to planning your retirement finances on offer.
Many of Walcha's talented creative residents will also be revealing the secrets of their craft.
Along with market stalls, there will be a pop-up art show featuring female artists and entertainment by theatre stalwart Amanda Muggleton, singing/songwriting Tamworth teen Hattie Oates and the Memphis Moovers.
There will also be gala dinner on the Saturday night with a dress-in-white formal dress code.
