Walcha Mayor Eric Noakes convened a meeting of representatives from Walcha's business houses on Tuesday evening in preparation for the influx of motorcycle enthusiasts predicted on November 14 when those going to the Freak Show Festival of Motorcycles begin to ride into town for a weekend of stunts and spectacles.

A discussion was had about ensuring the commercial district of the town was open and ready for business from Thursday night right through until Sunday evening when the 3,000 plus visitors to Walcha are expected to begin to depart.
While ticket holders to the event will be fully catered for at the Walcha Racecourse, it is anticipated they will take advantage of Council's free shuttle bus to visit the town at least once during their stay.
