A proposal to dissolve both the second division and reserve grade Group 19 competitions has been put forward with both tiers to combine.
This would mean all clubs, including Walcha, would play in the one competition against clubs who had previously made up second and first divisions, but how they face off is yet to be determined.
The draw would be based on teams entering the competition but proposed ideas include a conference or tier system set up, double headers to reduce travel, juniors to run on separate draw or a possibility for gala days or nights.
However, Group 19 have informed Australian Community Media the proposal is not set in stone and they are waiting for feedback from clubs before proceeding with planning the 2020 season.
There is still options for completely different competition structures to the current proposal including a potential two-tiered, first and reserve grade competition.
Walcha has expressed a reluctance to play against A-grade Group 19 teams and are handing the decision back to the players and supporters in the club as to whether to remain in Group 19 or nominate for the Group 4 reserve grade competition.
The Group 4 reserve grade competition features teams who were previously in their second division competition but does feature a large portion of A-grade players throughout the clubs.
They still have to be accepted by either Group to play in their competition.
The barbeque and discussion will be at Peter Fenwicke Oval on Sunday at 12.30pm.
