The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) has received more than $1,700 from a local lady following the success of her third Walcha Frocktober event last Saturday.

Belinda Creighton and her friends organised the evening at the Commercial Hotel where they held a silent auction, raffle and lucky door prizes. Many local businesses donated gifts, and Mrs Creighton also purchased a Georg Jensen OCRF sterling silver Mercy Heart pendant to be won as first prize.
A wide range of fashion was worn on the evening, and everyone looked stunning - especially Cheryl McDonald and Donna Martin who both wore a 1970's dress of their mother's; and Leanne Natty who wore a vintage dress that had belonged to her grandmother.
According to the official Frocktober website, "the campaign empowers women around Australia to channel their creative flair through their favourite frocks, all while raising urgently-needed funds for the OCRF's innovative research projects that help to shine a light on ovarian cancer."
