THE Brennan boys shot a one under par total 71 as did their opponents only to be counted out into the runners-up position. To suggest Wayne was disappointed with himself would be understating the fact after he only scored on one hole while AJ was on the card another 17 times.
SINCE Round Swamp all-rounder Ben France scored his double century late last season it has either been a feast or a famine. After his 209 not out back in February the Anglican minister has gone 67, 17 not out, 0, 0, 79, 2 and now 75 last Saturday.
THE Rev certainly had a day out last Saturday at Peter Fenwicke Oval when he captured 5/19 off his nine overs including 3/0 in the space of 13 deliveries before opening the batting and making 75 runs. Looking at the scorebook it seems like Ben could have been dismissed after Swamp had reached their total.
WHEN Uralla bowler Nathan Swann commenced his fifth over against Colts last Saturday he had the figures of 0/17 which went to 0/18 after his first ball. From that point on things changed a bit when he snared three wickets in four deliveries, narrowly missing a hat trick before finishing with 3/18.

THE Walcha swimming club registration and first race day is next Tuesday November 19 from 3.30pm. The Flippers hierarchy are hoping to run three or four races that afternoon as well as signing everyone up. NOT for the first time Locky has been nominated for Deaf Lawn Bowls, Joe has been selected for Masters Swimming Jorja for tretrathlon, while Norbs and Brenno got the nod after the New South Wales Sandgreen 4BBB golf win earlier in the year.
WHAT the hell is a tretrathlon - I can hear now. Earlier this year Jorjia was selected to represent New South Wales at the national titles in the under 18 age division. The four events in the tretrathlon are: a 200 metre swim, a 2 kilometre run, showjumping and laser pistol shooting. A mixed bag really.
BEST of luck to local cricket legend Barry Hoy when he travels to Perth to play for New South Wales in the over 50s National Veterans Cricket Championships from November 15 to 22. Baz will be joined by Mitchell Woods from Guyra.
