The annual Rotary Carols by Candlelight sing-along event was held in McHattan Park last Tuesday evening. Both Walcha Central School and St Patrick's Primary School performed a seasonal song to give the choir a break.

Emcee Barry Spry ensured singing enthusiasm by punishing the audience with a Christmas cracker standard joke each time he felt the rendition was not up to standard.
Mr Spry also spoke about Rotary working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years, and the organisation's progress in the fight to rid the world of polio forever.
After singing carols, many families went on the traditional Christmas light spotting pilgrimage drive around town with Christmas carols blaring from the car speakers.
