"I loved that no one picked the election result and I'm looking forward to rain, rain and more rain in 2020," Ms O'Keefe said.
Her favourite things about Christmas are the decorations and that everyone gets involved she says.
"I also love carols, but I can do without the heat and daylight saving."
Sonia says a wet Christmas would be ideal this year.
"I enjoy Christmas the most when there are children around, lots of laughing and no one takes themselves too seriously," she said.
This Christmas could be very stressful, so I think that I will try to be patient with the faults of others, and a little more
"This Christmas we will spend the day with lots of family, laughing and eating with plenty of phone calls to the family that are away this year.
"We pretty much do what most Australian families do."
Santa didn't get a letter from Sonia though.
"I love surprises, so Santa is left to his own devices here," she said.
I haven't done all my shopping but I am getting close. I am further behind in getting all my tasks completed."
And Sonia's top tip for a fabulous festive season?
"This Christmas could be very stressful, so I think that I will try to be patient with the faults of others, and a little more."
