The decision was made at the December ordinary meeting on Wednesday.
Walcha Council General Manager, Anne Modderno says this summer will be the fourth summer in drought conditions, and many families have either limited or no disposable income.
"The town pool provides an outlet for community members, families and kids to support social engagement, physical activity and mental health over the summer," said Ms Modderno.
"Free entry means the Walcha Baths will continue to be a fun, enjoyable and happy space for families and friends to meet and enjoy this summer without having to worry about finances."
Walcha Council says the decision to provide free pool entry was made possible through the donations of: Walcha Central School; Walcha Town and Country Club; Walcha Rotary Club; "1000km Walcha Loving Cyclists" group; the HOGs (Harley Owners Group) from the Walcha Motorcycle Weekend; as well as many other individual donations to the cause.

- Eric Noakes
The free admission commenced on Friday 20 December and will include admission to Council's annual pool party on January 17, which will be followed by a "dive-in" movie.
Walcha Mayor, Eric Noakes said he was grateful for the support offered by local community groups.
"This initiative will benefit our residents, but also allow the surrounding region and visitors to enjoy the baths and keep cool," he said.
"Large parts of 2019 have been trying, with drought and bushfires. I'd like to wish our community a safe and Merry Christmas, like many I'm praying for a wet and prosperous New Year!"
People who've already purchased a season pass will qualify for a refund for half the cost.
The refund will be issued in the form of vouchers for local Walcha businesses and will be available to collect from the Walcha Council office from January 15.
The Walcha Baths summer season runs until Sunday 29 March 2020.
