Victoria Police and ADF personnel are enforcing traffic restrictions for a second day to ensure Melburnians don't try to take advantage an easing of coronavirus restrictions in regional Victoria.
The Nine Network showed helicopter footage of traffic at the Little River checkpoint heading to Geelong, which stretched back for about 20km.
"I'm happy to get some specific advice and see how it's playing out for the Little River community," he told reporters.
"If there's something we can do for them to make it easier, we'll always look at that."
On Thursday, Assistant Commissioner Rick Nugent said police would try to keep delays at checkpoints to 30 minutes.
Melburnians risk a fine of almost $5000 if they try to travel to regional Victoria without a valid reason.
Told that some Melburnians were reportedly moving to their second residence in the country, the premier said he had not heard of such situations.
"If you don't have good reason to be in regional Victoria, you just can't be there," Mr Andrews said.
"The time will come to go and spend time in your second residence, or to go on a holiday, whether that be camping or a caravan park or a beach house or wherever it may be."
Of the 920 active cases in the state, only 30 of them are outside metropolitan Melbourne.
