All classes performed an item to the delight of all the mums, aunts, nans and grandmas present. The children performed a range of pieces from songs, poems, dances and plays.
Year 1 wrote their own poems for their mums and read it to them during the assembly.
Year 5/6 created a play called the ‘Sounds of Motherhood’ which was about the sounds, whines and whingeing sounds that mothers are often badgered with!
The kindergarten students sang and danced their way as animals, through a song called ‘Louise’.
And the Year 3/4 class recited a funny poem by Pam Ayres called ‘I don’t want to go to school today’, while 2/3 sang Brother John and Head, shoulders Knees and Toes in French.
The teachers thanked Walcha Preschool and the mothers and grand mothers for attending.
