Two cyber fun classes were held in the Walcha Library. Each session ran for two hours and covered subjects such as cyber safety, downloading apps and gaming.
Not all activities were indoor though, and the children also enjoyed taking part in a boot camp and an hour long walk along the levee banks with their pets.
Yesterday a group of year 7 to year 10 students travelled by bus to the Armidale Sport and Recreation Centre to play ten pin bowling and laser blitz with all the pizza and chips they could eat.
All events provided afternoon and morning teas and lunch when applicable; and all were fully supervised and free.
This was the first time Council has run these activities and organisers say the community support was encouraging and they hope to run more, including an extended teens program next school holidays, now that Council has the Community Connect Neighbourhood Centre running from the local library building.
