Last Wednesday the bridge on the Bergen Road started to take shape.
Walcha Council’s works supervisor Rowan Hutchinson said placement of the box culverts brought the bridge a huge step closer to being completed.
Replacing the old, rickety wooden bridge on the road, about 12km from the Thuderbolts Way turn-off has been an ongoing project this year.
Council now has to back-fill around the culverts and re-surface the top before the bridge is finished.
