Marta’s Kitchen is officially in business this week following the installation of the new eat-in bench made by her husband Ralph. Ralph and Marta moved to Walcha 14 years ago after buying the property Winterbourne Pines in 1991.

“Six years ago I was looking for casual work and Lee McCoy needed someone with cooking experience who could work unsupervised in her health food store Think Naturally,” said Marta.

“I guess I was just in the right place at the right time.”

Recently the health food range was moved into the fruit and veg shop Market Fresh- which is also run by the McCoys.

“Lee was looking to close the health food shop but suggested I might like to continue with the lunchtime takeaway meals as they are very popular,” said Marta.

“I decided to give it a go and continue with the current range of recipes that suit my taste - which is homestyle cooking.

“I’ll continue to provide freshly cooked interesting lunch meals and maybe add some other edibles into the mix in the future.”
