David Leake accumulated 39 stableford points to win the men’s division with a suggestion he would have felt like the bloke that shot Bambi after he rounded up Colleen’s son Andrew by a point.
Ladies winner Vicki Heffernan produced the best score on the day when she compiled 40 points to finish two clear of runner up Jenny Lisle and third placed Margaret Davidson both on 38.
The remaining sweepstake prizes went to Betty Borthwick, Simeon Cross and Col Berry all on 38 points.
Sharpest shooters at the pins were Col Higgins, Tim Beaumont, Vic Coulter and Cheryl McDonald, best second shots were played by Lachie Fletcher and Vicki Heffernan while Doug McDonald took out the longest drive on the eighth fairway.
In match play Col Berry downed Simeon Cross in a close one on 1 up but the runner up did receive some consolation when he relieved the ‘Eagle Nest’ of 25 balls after he eagled the sixth.
