A happy crowd of around 75 people, made up of both locals and visitors to the town for the long weekend, gathered for a great community and family night.
A tasty sit down meal with some wholesome home cooking by local ladies kicked off the night before the music and dancing began. The boys from Simply Bushed put on a great show which had everyone on their feet while special guest singer Brooke Jade was also big hit.
NSW Drought initiative representatives from Walcha Library, The Ascent Group, Carers NSW and Centacare were also available to offer information, support, resources and giveaways from their services - particularly in regard to mental health and wellbeing.
Children enjoyed a bag full of treats and treasures as a memento of the night.
Organisers said a huge thank you was to be given to Shirley O’Keefe, Belinda Colwell and their band of helpers from the Yarrowitch community for their assistance and to all the guests who supported the event.
