“The three senior girls, Sarah O’Neil, Daisy O’Brien and Molly Williams organise and run Art lessons every Thursday in our Craft room,” said Principal Anne Hazlewood.
“They are responsible for planning and implementing the lessons. The children love these lessons and there have been some outstanding results. The girls have done very well implementing such an exciting initiative.”
The Kids Teaching Kids Program promotes positive wellbeing and helps build resilience in young people. It raises awareness and drives action on local and global environmental issues, bringing communities together to solve common challenges and help the next generation of leaders who will take collective responsibility for our future.
“By giving students the opportunity to present a workshop to others, students see that they can have a positive impact in their own communities,” said Ms Hazlewood.
