Man of the match Steve Eveleigh was a man on a mission when he opened the batting for Swamp cracking nine fours and two sixers on his way to an unconquered 89 runs.
Skipper Barry Hoy added a 55-run second-wicket partnership with Eveleigh before he ran himself out after he had scored 32.
Eveleigh put on an opening-wicket stand of 31 runs with Kyle Goodwin (12) and then later an unbeaten third-wicket partnership worth 77 runs with Lachlan Fletcher (15 not out).
Colts opener Will Fletcher was his team’s only wicket taker while a good throw by Jacob Sherris caused Hoy’s demise.
Set 163 runs, Colts were in more trouble than Speed Gordon when they lost opener Ed Blomfield on the first ball of the innings when he had his furniture rearranged by Luke Wellings.
Then with his final ball of his first over Wellings had Jacob Sherrin caught by Fletcher for just two runs to leave Colts 2-2 after six deliveries.
Although Stu Halliday contributed 30 runs, Will Fletcher 20 not out, opening Josh Wellings 12 and Mitch Scrivener 10, the runners up were never really in the hunt finishing on 6-100 after their 20 overs.
